What is ASIO4ALL ?

On computers running the Windows(tm) operating system, efficient audio playback can be problematic.
The game uses a freely available driver to avoid these problems, namely ASIO4ALL.
It isn't necessary to understand the driver or the issues it addresses, only to be aware that ASIO4ALL is required. To find out more about ASIO4ALL, please visit asio4all.com

How do I use a different output ?

In most cases, using the default output will be all that you need to do.
If, however, you need to direct output to another sound card or USB sound device for example, please follow these steps fomr within the game :-
  1. Press the Escape key (this takes the game out of full-screen mode).
  2. If you cannot see the task bar, press and hold down the Alt key, and then hit the Tab key (this switches to another application).
  3. In the Windows Task Bar, click the little up arrow symbol to show the System Tray.
  4. Click on the ASIO4ALL icon
  5. Select the sound output you require.
  6. If necessary, press and hold down the Alt key, and then hit the Tab key to switch back to the game. Alternatively, click the correct icon in the Task Bar.
    7. Please note that making changes may affect other applications.
